How does our Breakdown, Servicing and Maintenace Scheme Work?
If your central heating breaks down, simply contact Payne's Heating & Plumbing Services Ltd on 01825 891720. The bill is settled directly on your behalf.
Claims Limits: Any single claim up to the depreciated value of your product. The total sum insured in any 12 month period is £750.00 or the purchase price if less.
Depreciation Scale: The value of a boiler is calculated at the replacement cost less 10% per year subject to a maximum depreciation of 70% ie., if your boilercost £750.00 - 40% = £450.00. However, if the boiler was 8 years old the depreciated value would be the maximum 70%, therefore the single claim limit would be £750.00 - 70% = £250.00.
If a Claim exceeds the depreciation value, you will have the choice of recieving the depreciation value towards a new purchase, or paying the balance to have the product repaired.
Valid if you move home: Just let us know in writing and we can transfer the cover to the new owner.
Renewable Cover: We have made it easy for you to continue your protection for as long as you wish. After the initial period has expired you can normally renew the cover annually.
Geographical Limits: You can apply for heatcare provided you are a resident in the UK.

COVER
Boiler and Controls Only: For conventional central heating boilers (up ro 150.000BTU): all boiler components as supplied by the boiler manufacturer and fitted within the boiler casing. Plus the water circulating pump, cylinder thermostat, time control (excluding energy management systems), room thermostat, motorised value(s) and associated normal working hours labour charges.

System, Including Boiler: Boiler, controls and systems: as per above plus easily accessible above ground pipework, radiators, radiator valves (manual and thermostatic), standard indirect cylinder (Maximum capacity 140 litres) and expansion tank.

The rates apply to private dwellings only and include the cost of one annual service and are inclusive of VAT.
A Payne's engineer will undertake a pre-inspection of the boiler at the initial routine service. Any repairs highlighted by the inspection will need to be carried out prior to cover commencing.

Exclusions
We must point out the folling circumstances which are not regarded as normal usage or not the responsibility of Payne's Heating & Plumbing Ltd.The cover does not include:
Adjustment to Controls. Replacement of decorative parts. Any defect or inadequancy attributable to the orignal design of the system. The fabric of the building or any existing pipework, ductwork and flue pipework buried in it. Any defect or damage occuring from a failure of the public electricity supply or water damage. Accidental damage. Manufacturing or installation defects or inherent faults. Electric heating element contained in the cylinder. A combination or condensing boiler over 8 years old, or a conventional boiler over 15 years of age. Loss of use of the boiler or consequential loss of any kind.
Call out charges where no covered fault is found.
Conditions of Acceptance
Subject to pre-inspection & approval by a Payne's Engineer we will accept cover on standard boilers up to fifteen years old and combination/condensing boilers up to eight years old. This can be extended to include the whole system.Your certificate safeguards you against parts and labour costs in the event of breakdown. There are no bills to pay as we normally settle the bills directly on your behalf.
Cooling Off Period: If for any reason you wish to cancel your certificate within 30 days following issue, we will arrange to provide a full refund without deduction provided you surrender your certificate and have not made any claims.
